Join Spin a Yarn, Weave a Life at Cambridge College, 1000 Mass. Ave in Cambridge, MA (map), and weave yarns spun from 6″ paper squares bearing words or images from individuals who shared their personal thoughts about what it means to create safe communities. Our “Community Weaving” will become part of a future event at the Massachusetts State House. Our interactive station is part of an exhibition of visual and performing arts highlighting the “21 Days of Questions/365 Days of Action” campaign of the City of Cambridge and its partnering organizations. Violence Transformed is an annual series of visual and performing arts events at various locations in Boston and surrounding cities that celebrate the power of art, artists and art-making to confront, challenge and mediate violence.
