Spinning and Sharing Community Yarns
Spin a Yarn, Weave a Life presents an interactive station with Violence Transformed at Cambridge College as part of an annual series of visual and performing arts events celebrating the power of art, artists and art-making to confront, challenge and mediate violence. Co-creators Cheyenne McCarter and Catherine Tutter taught participants how to spin their written texts and drawings on special paper into yarns using bobbin winders and demonstrated how they could be woven onto a loom.
